Ferry Corsten was born in 1973. He originates from the Dutch city of Rotterdam. There he grew up, and furthermore today there he makes his melodic creations. Ferry starts his carrer as a music producer in 1991. After the first underground sounds released, Ferry begins to be the most interested in trance music.
In 1996 his creation “Don’t Be Afraid” releases under the name Moonman. It arrives at 46th position on the UK Dance singles Chart. After a year, Ferry and Robert Smit established the label Tsunami together with the Dutch dance company “Purple Eye Entertainment”. In 1999 his first solo project System F arised. It’s main creation “Out of the Bue” became one of the largest trance hits of 1999. It arrived at the best twenty in the UK single chart and for all time entered it on the guide of the worldwide dance scene.
His different undertakings are Veracocha (together with Vincent de Moor), Gouryella in collaboration with DJ Ttiesto and Vimana. Gouryella’s first single under a similar title gets the fifteenth position in the UK singles chart. The following “Walhalla” and “Tenshi” showed the world appeal of trance music and Ferry’s vision for this genre. The following accomplishment of a global trance crusade of Ferry was a melody “Adagio for Strings”. It was a success which fortified Ferry’s position on the charts. In October of that year, Ferry becomes “Producer of the Year” at the Ericsson Muzik Awards in London. Even nominees Puff Daddy and Rodney Jerkins were left behind.
The first album of his System F project entitled “Suddenly” Ferry records with specialists like Armin van Buuren and Marc Almond. The fourth single from the collection “Move Valley Theme 2001” was made especially for the Dance Valley 2001 celebration. This event is one of the world’s biggest open air festivals. The main single recorded under his own name entitled “Punk,”releases in 2002 and reveals second sharper side of Ferry. In the same time a DVD entitled “Ferry Corsten World Tour – Live at Tokyo “releases.
