A Duo Gabriel&Dresden
Inside their 6 years of coordinated effort, Gabriel and Dresden scored 19 number 1 Billboard Hot Dance/Club Play remixes and tracks. They made three DJ-mixed compilation albums and won seven International Dance Music Awards. Their created hits like “Let Go”, “Tracking Treasure Down” Andain “Beautiful Things”, Ärkadia”, “Dangerous Power”and many others. Each of them became one of EDM’s greatest masterpieces. ‘As The Rush Comes’, by their Motorcycle with Jes Brieden won the IDMA ranking for ‘Best Progressive Trance Track’. It also gets to 11 place on the official UK top40 charts. The G&D treatment, through remixes and new arrangements was given to many songs. For example to the song of The Killers, Annie Lenox, Sarah McLachlan, Dido, Tiësto, Paul Oakenfold and Way Out West.
2008 – The split
With long periods of hits and honors, both folks felt it was the ideal opportunity for something new. They decided to take a break from Gabriel and Dresden to concentrate on their individual professions. Motivation came streaming with the new tide. After the split, Josh Gabriel set up his own mark ‘Different Pieces’ and centered around his Winter Kills and Andain career. With his new album ‘Eight’, Josh made an euphoric electronic mix of techno and house. Meanwhile, Dave Dresden conquered the dance floor with his Dresden and Johnston project. He creates the hits ‘Keep Faith’ and “That Day” (with Nadia Ali on lead vocals) and the remixes for Owl City, Nadia Ali, BT and The Crystal Method.
2010 – Reconnection
In 2010 Gabriel and Dresden chose to return to their basics. They rejoin at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles for New Year’s Eve 2011. Their arrival behind the decks indicated that after two years of separation, nothing truly changed. Gabriel and Dresden’s gahthering marks one of the most outstanding minutes in EDM this year to the delight of millions of EDM fans. They started to perform on the world’s biggest festivals, clubs and also planned a release of a new compilation. They started again to do what they love the most: to celebrate a musical feast where all of us are invited.
